Apply for Mentorship

Faith and Law’s Mentoring Program connects current and former senior Hill staff to junior staff in order to equip the next generation to integrate their Christian faith with their vocation on Capitol Hill. Our program runs twice a year, with fall and spring sessions. Applications are sent out in January and August.

Why Mentorship?

Through the mentorship experience, we hope that the mentees are able to wrestle with complex questions about politics, policy and faith. Further, it is our desire for mentees to have someone with more experience and wisdom to call upon as complex career-related situations and opportunities arise.

Expectations:

  • 12-week commitment
  • Participation in all mentor meetings and seminars required.
  • Meet with mentor every other week for a total of six sessions. Meetings should take place at a mutually convenient location in person.
  • Mentees and mentors should work together to arrange meetings during the work week depending on each individual’s availability. Ideally you should arrange 30 to 60 minute meetings.
  • Women will be paired with female mentors and men with male mentors.
  • Mentees should be full-time junior Hill Staffers seeking to stay on the Hill for at least 2-5 additional years. Interns do not qualify.
  • Share an orthodox Christian faith.
