Senate staffers, please join us for the next Senate Reading Group as we continue our abridged readthrough of Alexis de Tocqueville’s Democracy in America. For this session, we’ll tackle chapters 11, 20, and 21 of volume two, part three (on how equality softens mores, reshapes ambition, and makes revolutions rarer). No need to have read previous chapters to participate.
