Love, Virtue and Social Stability: Vision and Policy for Flourishing Families

Each year, Faith and Law hosts a leadership conference for congressional staff.

Titled “Love, Virtue and Social Stability: Vision and Policy for Flourishing Families,” the 2026 conference features outstanding speakers who will address key policy issues ranging from the crisis of the American family, fatherhood, and elder care. Specific times for discussion and networking also will be scheduled.

Sessions will include:

• As the Family Goes, So Goes America: How the Retreat from Family Is Undermining the American Way of Life featuring Dr. Brad Wilcox, Professor of Sociology and Director of the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia.
• Family in the Political-Theological  Imagination, a conversation with Maddie Foster, Director of Mentors and Scholars and Matt Arbo, Regional Director (D.C.) for the University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Ethics and the Common Good.
• Flourishing Along Life’s Continuum, a panel discussion with current and former Hill Staffers on policy solutions for issues ranging from, such as the falling birth rate, childcare, housing, K-12 education options, and care for the elderly. 

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
